Monster Magnet to Celebrate 35 Years with Short U.K. Tour

0

I don’t know about you, but doing anything for 35 years is an impressive feat of either determination or stubbornness, not sure which. Yet for stoner rock titans Monster Magnet, that’s exactly the occasion behind their upcoming U.K. run of dates set for later this year.

Slated to start on September 22 in Manchester, U.K., the run will include stops in Glasgow on September 23, Wolverhampton on September 24, and London on September 25. That way you can hear them play “Space Lord” not too far from the House of Lords.

Featuring founding frontman Dave Wyndorf, the band has accumulated some success over the years thanks to their catchy hooks and driving sound. If you’ve never heard their music before, then imagine a rock band from New Jersey got really into psychedelic drugs and decided to make music about space and sexy women and living wild and free.

While looking forward to the run of dates, Wyndorf said he was excited to celebrate the band’s milestone in style not in the Garden State, but all the way across the pond.

“Hot damn! 35 years and it feels gooood! Of course, this celebration will not be spent by us hanging around our homes huddled over some cake with too many candles on it. We gotta get on that bus and blow out some serious noise in multiple locations! It’s called a tour. The Monster Magnet 35th anniversary European Tour to be exact.

“Brothers and sisters, you are more than welcome to be part of that noise! We can’t wait to see you!”

You can check out the full list of dates below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 10.
