Bruce Dickinson Confirms New Solo Album Will Be Released “Early Next Year”
Legendary metal vocalist and anti-weed-at-concerts guy Bruce Dickinson won’t make you wait for the next chapter in his solo career. After making fans wait nearly 20 years between releases prior to last year’s The Mandrake Project, it sounds like that record’s follow up could get released “early next year.”
In a recent conversation with Musicians Institute’s M.I. Conversations series, Bruce Dickinson told interviewer Ryan J. Downey about his time in the studio as of late.
“I’ve just been in the demo studio with everybody [in Dickinson’s solo band] for the last three weeks, and we ended up with 18 tracks in 15 days. It’s gonna be a really cool album.”
The Mandrake Project was Dickinson’s first solo record in almost two decades and his follow up to 2005’s Tyranny of Souls. Although we are yet to have a confirmed date for his next full-length record, it’s exciting to hear that he’s back in the studio already and cooking up some heat.
Earlier this year, Dickinson announced a headline tour across North America for his solo project. His first in almost 30 years. The tour officially kicks off on August 22.
