Gruesome Unleash the Title Track from Their Upcoming Album ‘Silent Echoes’

Adherents to the old gods of death metal, Gruesome continue their unabashed worship of those that came before them with the single track from their forthcoming album Silent Echoes. So much so that it’s almost like someone from Florida in the 90s time traveled to 2025 and made a modern death metal song in their own style.

With their new album due out in a month, Gruesome said the new single should give listeners a clear idea of what they’re all about.

“This tune should give you a good sense of what we’re doing in this new era of the band – it’s melodic, musical, heavy, and dynamic, while still keeping the DEATH in Death Metal at the heart of things. It’s a journey both forward and inward, and I hope you enjoy the ride!”

For more than a decade now, these guys have written Chuck Schuldiner-ass riffs and Death-esque tunes that harken back to those original days. And while their previous releases definitely sounded like a tribute to the iconic band Death, they’ve openly said this time around that Silent Echoes is their attempt at writing and recording a full album in the spirit of Death’s Human. And from what I have heard from the first couple singles, they’re doing a bang up job.
