David Lynch’s Estate Up for Auction, Includes Rare Instruments and Gear

0

It’s been four months since we lost our directorial lord and savior David Lynch, just four days shy of his 79th birthday. I’m still not over it nor will I ever be, but that’s not what I’m here to tell y’all. The business we’re dealing in today involves some of Lynch’s non-cinematic ephemera—particularly all of the rare and atypical music gear. Apparently David had a whole ass treasure trove of collectable coolness in his possession. Goddamn was he fuckin cool.

None of this is surprising. Without going too much into a heartfelt obit about his life, Lynch was also a musician, who worked with and influenced many of the musicians and bands we love today. Like Nine Inch Nails, who collaborated with Lynch on their music video for 2013’s “Came Back Haunted.” There’s no way you could’ve seen that video and NOT known it was a Lynchian effort.

Check out some of Lynch’s rare assets below. Peep that custom five-neck guitar too, built by the one and only Danny Ferrington.
