Exclusive Album Stream: Intercourse Go to the Hilt with ‘How I Fell In Love With The Void’

Sometime after the clock strikes midnight and we’re firmly in September 12 territory, fans of Connecticut noise rock band Intercourse will need a cigarette. That’s all thanks to the release of the band’s latest album How I Fell In Love With The Void, a 10-song slab of chaos and unpredictability that hits hard as fuck.

But don’t take my word for it. You can listen to the new album in its entirety one full day ahead of release by checking out video below. All ten tracks are yours to cram into your ear holes.

Having released something new every year since 2013, you’d think a band might run out of things to say, but that’s not the case with How I Fell In Love With The Void. Speaking of the album, vocalist Tarek Ahmed said this one came from a place of deep personal pain.

“This album was written during what I thought was one of the hardest times of my life. The neat part is that since we finished recording things have gotten so much worse it’s almost comical. Please buy a copy, otherwise my ex-wife and coworkers are right about me. That being said, having this album out in the world alongside hitting the road with our pals in Nerver is something we are very much looking forward to.”

What you get out of that self-deprecating stance being baked into this record is a release that’s almost too abrasive at times. It’s corrosive noise rock fucking metallic hardcore and birthing something that’s furious and blistering from start to finish.

How I Fell In Love With The Void will be released on LP with multiple limited variants as well as CD, MC, and digitally tomorrow, but you can still preorder your copy today.
