Cro-Mags Frontman Calls Out Metallica, Pantera, and Others for Not Having Him Open for Them

If there’s one thing you can expect from Cro-Mags‘ Harley Flanagan, it’s that he’s not one to mince words. Dude’s been around the block a few times and doesn’t suffer fools, obviously. So when he took to Instagram to speak his mind, it was unfiltered.

“To all the famous bands that have been giving me love all these years and thanking me for the inspiration, etc. how about giving me a gig opening up for your bands instead of giving me love when nobody’s looking? Thank you”

Of course, this post garnered more than 2,000 likes from people on Instagram. Flanagan wisely shut down comments on the post, because he also took the time to call individual bands out by name in the image’s caption.

“Everyone from Metallica to Pantera to Avenged Sevenfold to Greenday, turnstile and so on and so on have given me props given me respect and love and called me a legend. It would be nice if somebody gave us a gig instead lol I’ve been working hard since the 80s how about a hand up motherfuckers instead of love when no one’s looking

I mean, the dude’s got a point….
