Slaughter To Prevail to Go Away for a While After 2026
There’s no denying that regardless of your feelings on the band and its frontman Alex Terrible, the deathcore outfit Slaughter To Prevail has skyrocketed to prominence. Once the years, they’ve amassed a huge fanbase despite finding itself in the midst of controversy time and time again.
Well, if you’re looking forward to a time when the band just fucks off and goes away, you won’t have to wait long. According to Mr. Terrible himself on Instagram, he and the rest of Slaughter To Prevail are planning a sabbatical of sorts. And no, it’s not so Alex Terrible can have more time covering up any of his questionable tattoos… but rather, he said it’s so the band can spend time with their loved ones.
“I want to take a long break for 2027 and 2028 to write music and spend more time with my son and my wife. But in 2026, we want to start the year with a European tour, which we’ve already announced — and it is selling really well. I think this will be our biggest European tour yet. We’ll most likely add Kazakhstan too.
“Right after that, in spring, we want to do a North American tour, then return to European festivals in the summer. In autumn, we plan to tour Asia — Japan, China, possibly Indonesia, and maybe even Australia. And to close out the year, in winter, we’ll head to South America and finish 2026 with a big show in Mexico!
“To our dear listeners and fans: if you want to see and hear us live, 2026 will be the best time. Thank you all so much for your understanding and support. We’ll be announcing everything very soon. Europe is already on sale!”
WIth all that in mind, the band’s European tour with Dying Fetus and Suicide Silence is indeed up for sale. It’s going to kick off on January 13 in Tilburg, Netherlands and comes to a close in Karlin, Czech Republic on February 8. Along the way, they’ll make stops in London, Milan, Berlin, and Budapest, to name a few major locales on the itinerary.
