Two Inmates in Custody for Murder of Lost Prophets’ Ian Watkins
Well, that was understandably quick. It’s been only a number of hours since Ian Watkins, a name I’m sure you’re familiar with, was found dead at HMP Wakefield prison in West Yorkshire, England, where he was serving a 35-year sentence for being a pedophilic piece of shit. Now, two inmates are in custody for his stabbing and murder.
Their names haven’t been revealed, but their ages are 25 and 48. According to reporting by UK publication The Sun, Watkins was ambushed and stabbed in the neck in what is thought to have been a premeditated attack. His jugular was severed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The West Yorkshire Police Department released this statement:
“Detectives have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man in HMP Wakefield.
“Officers were called by staff at the prison at 9.39am this morning (Saturday 11 October) to reports of a serious assault on a prisoner.
“A man aged 48 was found with serious injuries. Despite medical attention he was pronounced dead at the scene.
