New Footage of Turnstile Pepper Spray Incident Surfaces
A few weeks ago, it came out that some clown cop at a Turnstile show pepper sprayed fans who were crowdsurfing and stage diving. You know, as kids at shows do. The incident, which took place while they played “Birds” during their show at Brown’s Island in Richmond, Virginia on September 24, led to a 15-year-old getting sprayed in the face, as well as the band’s bassist/vocalist Franz Lyons trying to stop another fan from getting sprayed.
New footage, pulled from the officer’s body cam shows more of the situation, with the officer in question raising his spray canister at one audience member before turning it on someone else. The officer claims it was an accident, saying how he “didn’t realize the pin was out.”
Yeah right, dude. Richmond Sheriff Antionette Irving has confirmed that an internal investigation is underway. Check out clips of it below, thanks to CBS 6.
