New Miserable Experience (Ex-Revocation, Rivers of Nihil) Serve Divine Retribution with “Payback From God”

Current and former members of some damn good bands have gotten together and created something new called New Miserable Experience. Earlier today, they dropped a new single titled “Payback From God” and while that may sound like it would be heavy as shit, it’s surprisingly not. That’s not to say it’s bad, mind you — just different.

Comprised of vocalist and bassist David Grossman (ex-Rosetta) and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Mahesh Kost (Model Prisoner), Rosetta drummer Bruce “B.J.” McMurtrie Jr., technical metal bassist Brett Bamberger (ex-Revocation), and guitarist Brody Uttley (Rivers Of Nihil), this band sounds like it would bash your face in. But from what I can tell from this track, they’re more of an alt-synth rock outlet that’s more interested in the electro-tinged sounds they make than melting your face off.

This new single is the most recent one off their forthcoming album, which will be released on January 23 via Pelagic Records. Preorders for said album will open up on November 19.
