Entheos’ Navene Koperweis Broke His Ankle, But The Show Will Go On

0

Shit happens on the road. People get sick, bones get broken, and unfortunately, tour dates suffer as a result. That is, unless you’re Entheos multi-instrumentalist and live drummer Navene Koperweis — then a broken ankle suffered in a freak accident barely causes you to slow down.

Entheos is currently out on their headlining tour with Fallujah, The Zenith Passage, and Tracheotomy. During their run, Koperweis apparently broke his ankle, causing some to think some drastic measures would be needed to keep the tour going if it could go on at all. But that was before our guy came out and said ‘nah, fuck that. I didn’t hear no bell.’

…At least that’s how I imagine it went down. Here’s how he explained it:

“Last night after our set I was grabbing some hoodies for a restock, when I jumped out of the trailer I landed on a curb I didn’t see and managed to fracture my ankle!

“I’m going to try to play today at sound check and just play everything more stripped down on the double bass and if that doesn’t work then I’ll play the kicks on tracks. No matter we aren’t missing any shows. This is the best tour of my life, the show must go on!!”

Kick ass, dude. Just stay safe and don’t make the break worse. If you’d like to support this sort of badassery, you can catch Entheos at the final dates of their headlining tour listed below.
