Glenn Danzig to Perform ‘Danzig Sings Elvis’ on New Year’s Eve

Oh, Glenn Danzig. What a special person you are. So special, in fact, that you’re actually going to do something special for us this New Year’s Eve (December 31). What is that, you might ask? Well, if you remember back at the very beginning of COVID, which was pretty much one million years ago, good ol’ Danzig released Danzig Sings Elvis, which is exactly wtf it sounds like. He’s taking the tribute to the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA for an interesting way to ring in the new year.

The last time Danzig performed Danzig Sings Elvis was in February 2023 at the famed Montalbán theatre in Hollywood, CA. The record came out in April 2020, and features covers of “Is It So Strange,” “One Night” and “Loving Arms” among others.

About “One Night,” Danzig told Rolling Stone back when he first released it:

“It’s a great song. There’s a lot of different versions of it that I did while I was in the studio with multiple vocal takes. I did some a little softer, some a little harder. Some in between. The one I decided on is the one I like the best.”

When asked about how this Elvis-appreciating project:

“What happened was, in between doing it, I’ve been working on a million other things. I’m working on other records. It started out as, ‘I’m gonna do a ‘Danzig Sings Elvis’ EP, and it can be four or five songs.’ And eventually, while doing other records, we’d have downtime and I’d just turn to Tommy [Victor, guitarist] and say, ‘Let’s do another Elvis track or two.’ He’s like, ‘Okay.’ Eventually, it became an album.”

Consider coming to this if you wanna see 2025 off in loving arms.
