Space Of Variations Drop New Track “Ghost Town”
Ukranian metalcore outfit Space Of Variations is back with the latest single from their forthcoming album Poisoned Art, titled “Ghost Town.” Riff-heavy, intense, and laden with a groove that moves you, this new track from this four-piece is a headbanger, for sure.
Described as the beginning of a “new era” for Space Of Variations, the band say “Ghost Town” is all about an indescribable loss.
“‘GHOST TOWN’ is a about the feeling of waking up from a dream while still carrying it inside you—as if it were real. In that dream, you lost someone important, and no matter what you do, you can’t find them again. It’s the sense of loss that seeps from the dream into reality.”
As for the band’s new album, Space Of Variations said it was written “during the darkest period of our lives.” Given their homeland of Ukraine, I wonder if it’s about the war. (Spoilers: it is.)
“Our third full-length album, Poisoned Art, was written during the darkest period of our lives. The war in our country changed everything dramatically, and the full spectrum of emotions we experienced during that time is reflected in this album. It’s angry, melodic, honest, and fatalistic.”
