Ghost Cancel Three Upcoming Shows Over Snowpocalypse Threatening the Eastern U.S.
Bad news, ghouls and ghoulettes. If you were planning on catching a Ghost show this weekend or Monday, you’re kinda boned. And you can blame it on the rain snow, as the massive winter storm that’s threatening the east coast has forced the band to axe tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday’s concerts.
In an announcement made on social media, the band revealed that they’d been paying close attention to the forecasts but unfortunately had to pull out of anything for the first time ever. (Get it?)
“We wish to inform you due to the state of emergency issued in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and at the direction of local authorities, the Ghost shows scheduled for January 24 in Knoxville, January 25 in Charlotte and January 26 in Greenville have, regrettably, been cancelled.
“If you purchased tickets or VIP Packages through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically – no further action is needed. If you purchased through a third-party reseller, please contact your original point of purchase.
“Please heed caution and stay safe.”
While that definitely has to suck for anyone that had plans, it’s definitely worth canceling the shows if it means keeping people safe. You can always catch Ghost at a later date but you can’t do that if you’re dead on the side of the road.
