Alestorm Sail Their Way Through Chaos in New “The Storm” Music Video

Sailing their way to victory, or battle, either works. Scottish heavy metal titans, Alestorm, are back with a fresh new release ahead of their forthcoming record, The Thunderfist Chronicles.

Out today, “The Storm” is a stomping new song accompanied by a dramatic video. Throughout it, the band take fans on a troublesome adventure, as they sail through the turbulent shores of no man’s land. In typical Aletorm style, “The Storm” follows their usual pirate-inspired shenanigans.

Speaking about their new single, Alestorm vocalist and keytar player, Christopher Bowles, says,

“Oh wow! Our new song “The Storm” is about the raw, boiling power of mastic asphalt. It’s hot, sticky, and unstoppable, just like our music. We were busy one night drinking a bottle of creme de menthe and arguing about road surfacing when it hit us: nothing says pirate metal like molten tar and industrial paving. Hail Ve-Eplu.“

Previously, Alestorm shared their comically-titled, “Frozen Piss 2,” the second offering from their upcoming eighth studio album The Thunderfist Chronicles. Today’s release brings us closer to the bigger picture of their new record, which is just days away from its official release date.

The Thunderfist Chronicles comes out this Friday, June 20, via Napalm Records, but you still have a chance to pre-order it here.
