Watch: Wes Borland Cosplays as Metallica’s James Hetfield at their Final Show

I love it when bands can take the piss out of each other and it not be a huge ordeal.

Over the weekend, nu metal dudes Limp Bizkit wrapped up their final run of live dates with Metallica at Empower Field in Denver, Colorado. And, as most of you know by now, Limp Bizkit aren’t exactly the most serious band in the world. They might as well have a degree in fucking around. So, of course, they had to go out with a bang.

If you didn’t read the headline first, it would be pretty hard to guess the artist behind the facemask and ridiculous wig. But lo and behold, it’s Limp Bizkit’s long-time guitarist and backing vocalist, Wes Borland. Beautifully cosplayed as Metallica’s frontman James Hetfield.

Wes Borland shared his cosplay on Instagram and wrote a somewhat sentimental post on the tour. He shares,

“#1 night of James for the end of the tour (from @cheska_sparks ) and #2 back to regular scheduled programming! (from @limpbizkitworld )Thanks @metallica for letting us learn how to play on that weird stage! Good times!”

An iconic way to round off a major string of tour dates with one of the biggest bands in metal, if you ask me.
