Classic Static-X Album ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’ to Get a 25th Anniversary Box Set

0

When it comes to industrial metal (or even ‘evil disco’), one of the most critically acclaimed releases ever was that of Static-X‘s 1999 album Wisconsin Death Trip. To mark its 25th anniversary, the band will be releasing a limited edition box set on December 12.

Including the album itself on orange and black eclipse vinyl, the box set will also feature some additional bonus tracks. In order to maintain some of the album’s original sound, the band tapped the album’s original producer Ulrich WIld to once again manage the band’s sound to where it was. Meanwhile the band’s original photographer Exum gathered a buncha old photos and footage of the band taken during their original photo shoot for the album.

In addition to the audio/visual aspect of the box set, this bad boy will include a laser-engraved ID tag, an ID bracelet with a QR code that links to some 8mm camera footage of the band from 1998, a pill bottle (which kinda feels like in bad taste when you remember how Wayne Static died), stickers, and a whole lot more.

As of right now, you can preorder your copy of this box set through Static-X’s website. You can also find the band’s upcoming tour schedule below.
