Former Lost Prophets Vocalist Ian Watkins Murdered in Prison

I’m not sure how to start this, so I’ll just get right to it—Ian Watkins, the pedophilic former frontman of the band Lost Prophets, was murdered in prison yesterday (Friday, October 10), where he was serving a 35-year sentence for being a piece of shit with several child sex offenses (that include the ultimate disgusting low of trying to rape a baby).

Watkins, 48, was serving his time at Wakefield Prison in the UK where he was cornered and stabbed in the neck with a shank by another inmate. Guards apparently acted quickly and got Watkins airlifted to hospital, where he ultimately died from blood loss.

According to UK publication The Sun, a prison source came forward and described the attack as being pretty brutal and gruesome:

“Watkins has been killed in the most brutal way possible – and the attack was shocking, even by prison standards. He was targeted by another inmate who shanked him in the neck. Guards were nearby and raced to the scene pretty quickly – but there was nothing they could do, and they could not save him.

“It was a horrific scene, with blood everywhere and alarms and sirens going off. Police and ambulances were called and the whole prison was locked down with all cons confined to their cells. Watkins was air-lifted to hospital but they could not save him.”

This wasn’t the first time Watkins was attacked in the Wakefield Prison. Back in 2023, three inmates somehow held him hostage for six hours where he was repeatedly beaten and stabbed, before guards finally intervened. It might be rude to say, but it’s not like he didn’t have this coming to him. He pled guilty back in 2013 to 13 counts of child sex offenses, where the judge accurately described his crimes as being at “new depths of depravity.”
