Dayseeker and Longtime Guitarist Gino Sgambelluri Part Ways

Another hour, another band breakup, in a sense. Dayseeker have just made public their split with longtime guitarist Gino Sgambelluri, who has been a member of the band since their inception in 2012.

It’s kind of a surprise, since they just released their 5th record Creature in the Black Night a couple weeks ago on October 24. What a damn dayseeking shame.

The band’s full statement reads:

“Hey Dayseeker family,
We wanted to share that Gino and the band have mutually decided to part ways. This wasn’t an easy decision but there’s truly nothing but love and respect between us. Gino has been such an important part of Dayseeker’s journey and we can’t thank him enough for his passion, his kindness and the endless hours he spent dedicating his life to the project.
Please continue to show him nothing but love and support as we all move forward into the next chapters of our lives and careers.

Well, that’s all folks. Dayseeker currently have no guitarist (not even a rhythm guitarist), so hopefully they’ll have someone in mind to fill Sgambelluri’s slot soon.
