Mötley Crüe Announce ‘The Return of the Carnival of Sins’ North American Tour

0

I cannot begin to tell you how hard it was not to try to make some pithy joke in the headline about Mötley Crüe, but that’s not warranted at the moment. And that’s only because ‘The Return of the Carnival of Sins’ is going to generate some chairty money to help after school arts programs across the U.S.

Set to take place at 33 cities this coming summer from July 17 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania to September 26 in Ridgefield, Washington, the tour will bring Mötley Crüe to all sorts of locales with special guests Tesla and Extreme as supporting acts.

Oldheads may remember the original ‘Carnival of Sins’ tour that took place 20 years ago, which featured a full-scale production that included humor, elaborate staging, and all sorts of wild shit alongside the Crüe’s music. It sounds like fans can expect that same level of revelry with this run, just with significantly older performers and a lack of self-awareness.

“Bringing back the spirit of Carnival of Sins has been a blast, and we wanted to take it even further for its 20th anniversary. This new show is for the Crüeheads who’ve been with us through it all and for the new Crüeheads who didn’t get to experience Carnival of Sins last time around. Get ready — we’re coming your way and we can’t wait to see you next summer.”

One of the most important aspects about this tour is the fact that at least $1 of each ticket sale will be donated to the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative, which will support ASAP! (After School Arts Program). That program works to “nurture resilient, empathetic young people through hands-on programs in music, art, writing, theater, and play.”

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 21 at 9 a.m. local time, with VIP packages up for grabs starting tomorrow at 9 a.m. local time.
