Those Two Guns N’ Roses Tracks Came Out Later Than Originally Promised
Thanks to the rigmarole of the holiday season and everything that goes with it, I completely forgot that Guns N’ Roses promised to release two new tracks this past Tuesday. It was part of their huge world tour announcement, but they said “Nothin’” and “Atlas” would be available for listening, but after the wait we all endured for the disappointment that was Chinese Democracy, I guess it’s better late than never.
As the band’s first new output since 2023, these two songs are an interesting double release. Which is interesting, since these two songs were originally recorded during the Chinese Democracy sessions and re-recorded with Slash and Duff McKagan when they re-joined the band.
So is this a new music drop? Technically for fans it is, but man it must be nice to just pull from the cutting room floor all these years later. After listening to these songs, I definitely understand why they didn’t make the cut for Chinese Democracy, though I actually kinda like “Nothin’” for how odd it can be and “Atlas” just sounds like a decent rock song.
Aside from today’s digital release, the two songs will go up for pre-order for the physical pressing of the two tracks on a 7″ vinyl. You can pre-order one of those pressings, as well as a cassette version, over at the band’s official merch page.
If you’d like to hear these tracks live, you can do so when they head out on their massive world tour. You can check out the full list of dates for that below.
