Sounds exactly like something that Chris Storey (All Shall Perish) would play, even though they are good pals and I think Chris learned some of his stuff from this guy.

uggh, guitar clinic videos as hosted by “virtuosos” are possibly the worst form of torture ever. i’d still rather hear some shitty doom metal band hold a note for 15 minutes straight…
So, we see he can play scale’s. What good song’s has he written? Anyone can play a solo, how about write a song with soul.

You faggets hate on everyone don’t you? This guy could shred your fucking face off. He has solo material that he’s written apart from Outworld. So yes, he can both out play shit loads of guitarists and writes as well. Not all of his stuff is fast and technical work, there’s slow “emotional” parts as well. But a riff doesn’t have to be slow to be emotional, that’s the dumbest excuse I’ve ever heard to bash this guy. “well he plays 100 times faster than I’ll ever be able to but umm well…he doesn’t play slow all the time so he has no emotion..” Give me a fucking break.

hahahahahahaha are people really that jealous and ignorant. Dude can shred faces and write beautiful songs. I personally dont have his shit and prolly never will. But where the fuck are the props? That video is sick, and his shredding takes it up a notch, nice.

Rusty is Chris Storey’s mentor. Chris has one of those Cooley Signature guitars (you can see him play it in his youtube videos). Rusty plays the solo on the instrumental track on Awaken the Dreamers.
@ big johnson. NO! Not everbody can write and play a solo. Not even close. Especially a solo like this. A song with soul? That’s so fuckin’ cheesey. Rusty writes nothing but songs with soul. Very few people can play what he just played.
