ANOTHER DELIGHTFUL NEW PROTEST THE HERO VIDEO

Now three videos and over a year into the project we’re well past the point where a collection of home-vid live shots and backstage antics would pass for a music video, but instead we get this, a proper video for the song “Spoils” (from the jizztastic record Fortress). It’s not like this video is super-hi-fi like the now infamous “Van Breakdown Dance” video, but it’s pretty sexy, kinda like Rody Walker’s new beard.

You have every right to dislike PTH, but calling the vocalist “godawful?” Maybe he isn’t your style, but PTH’s vocalist is talented as hell. The guy has ridiculous range – from screaming, to growling, to singing, he can do it all well.

Love the beards, but feel like I am looking at a metal ZZtop. It’s because the drummer doesn’t have a beard, just like the Texas Trio.

^^^ Before I heard them I thought the same thing. I was thinking they couldn’t be good with that name :) ….but they sound NOTHING like what I had envisioned.
Whoever said PTH has “apects” of pop-punk, I have no idea where you are coming from. Is the “pop punk” label because their singer has a high pitched voice at times? Because other than that, they are on another planet from anything “pop.”

Man, I fucking love this band. I heard them on Sirius Hard Attack right after Kezia came out a couple years ago and I’ve been a believer ever since.

you guys are tarded. mars volta and dillenger are awesome, and combined with the only GOOD aspect of pop punk (the singing), makes one of the greatest bands ever. is it too much for you for them to be catchy and progressive at the same time?

I dunno. I agree with AGG. Don’t hate it but I don’t know if I could do a heavy rotation of this. I feel kinda bad since they’re from my parts. I prefer The Faceless. This is too….show-offy for my taste. Singer is cute though – probably young enough to be my son, but……
I find it weird they’ve released 4 videos from fortress – thats a lot for one album, they should have picked Bone Marrow or The Dissentiencee for one at least. Still, pretty flashy(actually.. TOO flashy i thought i was gonna go into a epileptic fit).. How are they affording this? i thought they were broke ass dudes..?

Protest the Hero kicks ass! The video is fucking awsome just like Protest the greatest band in the world! All of your videoeos are awsome because you guys are in it! You guys are above and beyond every other band! Also when I met you guys and showed you my tattoo you were beyond nice to me! I fucking love you guys! Protest the Hero are the most gifted musicians alive and Rody Walker can out sing anyone including me and Rob Halford! You guys are truly GODS of rock!
O.k. I miss spelled videos! That`s what I get for trying to spell and type when I`m on weed! O.K. so we talked about Rody because we love him to death, but it`s also true that Luke @ Tim are the greatest and completly immaculate guitar players ever born and let`s not forget the greatest and most intricate bass player Arif; who is equally a true song writing genious! Oh and the drummer Moe is equally brilliant! So there you go, Protest the Hero is the greatest band out there! Rody, you are the greatest singer around and Tenacious and sexxxxy frontman!

Great song from a great band! Fortress is easily my favorite album of last year.
I don’t get all the hate against this band, they go all over the metal spectrum so how can you not at least partly like them?
Just cause Rody Walker actually has a Voice and uses it instead mindlessly screaming all the time does not make them a “Pop Punk band.
Musically these guys Kick Ass.
Rody’s voice makes them even better and even more unique.
If you cant see that your either deaf or have such a poor taste in music you could here a semi-truck approaching and mistake it for your favorite band.

Probably one of the best bands ever. Everyone in this band is the best at what they do and they know it.

Not into it. I really don’t like that type of signing it reminds me too much of Glam metal. They are diffidently talented musicians so I got to respect them for that.

I agree 100%. Rody is an extremely unique singer especially in respect to the genre. I could probably only count on one hand the number of “real singers” (excuse my term) in todays metal scene. All I hear is people complaining about Rody’s whiney voice while the bands that they reccommend as “real music” are all deep screaming. I’m not saying either one is better, but I am going to ask why people insist on trashing a realy talented vocalist. He may be opratic as hell at times, but his voice is the most versatile out there today in my opinion. If I didn’t like between the burried and me from a vocal stand point I would keep it to myself. Bands are well known for a reason, if you don’t like it you don’t have to trash it cuz there are a million people out there who hate what you’re listening to. They just have the decency to respect the fact that good music is purely a matter of opinion. And i can garauntee that all of the negative ones do not matter and do not need to be heard. Focus on the amazing talent that every band posesses instead of picking out the things you don’t like. Sorry for being philosophical here but this is a perfect example of a small scale version of what is wrong with this entire world.
