ARRRG, MATEYS! A NEW VIDEO BY SWASHBUCKLE!

Between the Somalis and Jerry Bruckheimer, it’s just not cool to be a pirate anymore. Luckily Swashbuckle are here to restore the good name of pirates everywhere.

Here’s the band’s video for “Cruise Ship Terror,” off their Nuclear Blast debut, Back to the Noose, which drops July 24. It was directed by the ultimate pirate documentarian, Cap’n David Brodsky.

    I saw this band at Paganfest… and they sucked such and incredible amount of ass. Nobody was into them and I think that I publicly facepalmed a few times during their set.

    Alestorm rips these guys a new one. this is just derivative death with pirate lyrics. Alestorm captures both the message and the music. Decent vid though. David Brodsky must make a shit ton of money or do a shit ton of charity work cause he directs every metal video ever, it seems. I wonder what he could do with an actual budget.

    Great video concept and I like the faux-HDR look of the performance footage.
    I’d never heard Swashbuckle before, and my patience for costume rock is limited, but this was a fun track.

    PRIMORDIAL is a REAL band, with honest, meaningful lyrics and powerful musical foundations and were EASILY the best band on the bill, with Moonsorrow trailing them.

      Anyone who said this band was the best band at Paganfest needs to fall down some stairs. Seriously.

      The only thing I could think of when I saw this band was that 1; They had fucking breakdowns and seriously sounded like Unearth had gay sex with a syphilitic merchant marine, and somehow through some terrible physiological nightmare gave birth to these three faggots and raised them in Jersey. The three faggots called themselves Swashbuckle. Second; Everytime I hear the name Swashbuckle now I think of those really stupid TV ads… FREE CREDIT REPORT DOT COM or what the fuck ever.

      Gimmicky faggot bullshit. People who buy this shit are the reason we’re constantly stuck with stupid fucking music. Get a life.

            The only band at Paganfest who I thought performed better than Swashbuckle was Moonsorrow. All the other bands performed poorly and most in attendance at the KY show agreed whom I spoke to. And that was just about all 75 people who showed up. You are a total ass, btw. Just thought I would throw that in there.

      I thought their vocalist was lacking, and their sound was fucked up. Incidentally, they are who I came to see. Really the only bands that impressed me that night were Swashbuckle and Moonsorrow. Blackguard sounded EXACTLY like Children of Bodom if Alexi forgot how to play solos, and Korpiklaani were just horrible. Just fucking horrible. A huge letdown.

    Seen these guys live probably 50 times, as they’re a local band. They put on an incredible live show, and just keep getting better.
