EPIC, GRAND, COLOSSAL, MONOLITHIC. NEW EX DEO VIDEO.
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 at 3:10pm by Vince NeilsteinLast week we told you about the epic, Roman-themed band Ex Deo, spearheaded by Kataklysm’s Maurizio Iocono. You could be a hipster-metal fart-knocker and roll your eyes at yet another pagan metal band, or you could take my word for it and click “play” on the fittingly epic video for “Romulus,” the album’s title track, below. This shit is epic. Did I say “epic” enough times yet? Grand. Colossal. Monolithic. All of these adjectives describe both the band and this video.
The video (and song) tells the ancient Roman tale of Romulus and Remus, and was filmed by director Stanimir “Staca” Lukic in Belgrade, Serbia. Romulus comes out on June 19th in Europe and June 30th in North America on Nuclear Blast Records. Catch Ex Deo on the Paganfest Europe tour this fall.

Bill and Ted’s most Bogus Journey
That was pretty fucking awesome.
Yeah, that was pretty badass, even if it reminded me a bit of 300 in spots. I’ll check out the album when it’s out.
it’s like watching 300
the title of the article explains it all. Awesome song/vid/band
I am pumped as fuck for this album. Kataklysm slays and guess what so does Ex Deo
Okay. It’s not really a patch on Viking vids imo. And must admit wasnt really a fan of kataklysm and so i dont think ill be checking them out.
Everyone knows that the Roman Republic was metal as fuck.
This fucking rules. Thanks man.
Eh.
If you just want a history lesson on Rome, then I guess check it out.
Where are the metal bands that sing about other subjects? Like geography.
” My goblet of beer, in a lithosphere, trudged by the flora and fauna, where ecology summons the demon hydrologyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!”
