NOW YOU, TOO CAN LOVE REVOCATION LIKE WE DO

revocation - existence is futileNo longer do you have to simply take our word that Revocation are one of the best and brightest up and coming young metal bands on the scene today; now you can stream their entire new album Existence is Futile in its entirety at ExistenceIsFutile.info (hooray once again for non-MySpace streams!) a full week before it’s officially released.

Existence is Futile is an album’s album, a full work of art; and it’s sure to make more than a few year-end lists here at the Mansion and elsewhere. The lead guitar work, musicianship and composition are absolutely fucking stellar. The band’s got the whole package. There is nothing not to like about Revocation. Stream their full new album here, and prepare to be blown away.

I received my T-shirt/cd package last Friday. Excellent album. In my top ten of the year.

  3. Hu3yL3w1sandTh3Fac3l3ss says:

Killer band. I hope these guys get the recognition they deserve.

  4. You Suck says:

    Fucking killer.

  5. orbital says:

LOL, Revolver gave the new album 2.5 stars

    • Kevin says:

      Then Revolver DON’T KNOW SHIT

      • Josh says:

Revolver knows nothing. The magazine is pretty cool to read once and awhile, I just dont trust their judgment when reviewing extreme music. This band is the shit! They definatly deserve some more credit.

I just streamed it and am sad to say it isn’t as good as I expected. “Anthem of the Betrayed” IS the best song on the album, by far. The solo on that song is spectacular and just killer. The last two songs on the album are pretty good as well.

didn’t mean to post that as a reply, sorry. but while i’m on the subject I subscribe to Revolver and it’s pretty meh. I bought an issue of Decibel from Borders and I like it much better.

  6. noobpotato says:

Now listening to it, on 2nd song and its pretty great (coming straight off the dissapointing new skindred album :( )

  7. big_metal_al says:

Already one of the best of the year!

  8. Pete says:

Seems to be a lot of non Myspace full album streams as of late, which is awesome because obviously the quality on Myspace is terrible. Do you think bands/labels are consciously moving away from the Myspace streams?

    Also, this record is sweet.

    BADASS album

  11. Dysenteric says:

Is it just me, or does Revocation’s logo on the album artwork look a bit squashed? It looks weird…

    ALBUM OF THE YEAR

  13. Wayne Graham says:

    Wow…..these guys are fantastic.

  14. CJ says:

lol Wow. This is fucking amazing. Awesome band. Glad you guys showed me this.

  15. Zosimus says:

“Dismantle The Dictator” is a pretty badass track, despite the Primus bass break (eh, who cares, Primus is pretty awesome).
For a while I was getting annoyed that the drummer liked to end almost every song by smashing on his china cymbals but whatever I GOT OVER IT.

  16. Antihero says:

Listened to it twice all the way through now. This band fucking slays

  17. stinkybritches says:

Really good music done in by horrible vocals. When is this vocal trend of half growl, half scream, half constipation going to end?

  18. Natsquatch says:

I’ve given these guys several listens and haven’t been amazed, but apparently I’m missing out on something…

  19. bender says:

Congratulations!! I can honestly say this is the first band I’ve discovered thru MS that doesn’t suck balls!

  20. Ryan says:

these guys have forced me to totally re-evaluate my taste in extreme forms of metal. holy shit its awesome. combining the best elements of classic thrash like exodus and kreator, but without sounding dated or like some sort of retro act. perfectly straddling the line between full on extreme death metal and classic thrash metal.
