“CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE COMPLETELY MELT MY BRAIN EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THEM”

In yesterday’s self-aggrandizing Sumeriancore article many of you commented that you’d have liked to see Conducting From the Grave on this site, including MS commenter Brownsound who provided me with today’s headline. Yes, Conducting From the Grave completely melt brains, and yes, we HAVE written about them here before but they certainly do deserve more coverage.

Conducting From the Grave’s When Legends Become Dust melts all sorts of brains (even the MS Mansion Monkeys’!), and you should listen to a few of its songs on the band’s MySpace page. The band doesn’t seem to have any official music videos, but a fan did put together a pretty funny parody video of their song “Marching Towards Extinction,” posted below.

    THIS BAND RULES. Definitely the best sumeriancore band IMO. Also, I sent in an email about how cool they were! I also got the response with that there search link like I’m an idiot. I used the search, and saw the three articles. I meant a real article except they were at this show, we watched them.

    Looked like a dirty bunch of hippies when I saw them live, but they shredded!

    See, my problem is this band was relevant like 4-5 years ago. They released an EP called trail to the grave or something like that. Anyway they were in their prime then. Now it’s the same shit and no real progression just some chugging here and there. Then they were With Passion which is the same band again!!

      With Passion was a precursor, and THEN a follow-up. With passion also has a few different members, AND the addition of a keyboards. And, I beg to differ, they’re still very relevant, and still very awesome. John Abernathy can shred like a fucking god.

        I think he just meant that they are on Sumerian Records, because you are correct, they are not “sumeriancore” at all.

        In fact, I have no friggin’ idea how they got signed. They are more of a poor man’s Every Time I Die. A very poor man at that.

    OH MY FUCK!! I’ve been following these guys FOREVER, since the Trials of the Forsaken EP! Good to see them get what they deserve! They just released an announcement via myspace that they will be hitting studio for their follow-up soon!

    CFTG got me into anything “death–” related, they fucking rule!

      This is their EP edition. Their full-length has a different singer, Lou Tanouis, who is MUCH MUCH better.

    Love these guys! My favorite deathcore album of the year! And anyone who says it’s “the same chugging shit” or whatever isn’t hearing some of the amazing subtleties they’ve dropped into the new record. So freakin’ good!
