NO ONE CALLS HIM “JEFFREY”

I’ve never heard of Seattle’s 7 Horns 7 Eyes before (and their members actually have ten eyes and no horns, no good lying bastards), but any band that Nevermore’s Jeff Loomis would deign to record a guest solo has to be worthwhile, right? Unless the just paid Loomis an assload of cash – but considering they’re still unsigned, that seems unlikely.

Here’s some pretty awesome footage of Loomis recording the aforementioned solo at his home. Just watching him work shit out is pretty fascinating stuff.

After you’ve watched this, check out 7 Horns 7 Eyes and let us know if you think they’re awesome, or if one of them must be secretly related to Loomis.

    hahahahahahahahahaha love the end

My speakers aren’t working… what sort of band are they?

Currently my only relevant knowledge of them is that the singer has silly ears, whilst the drummer is rocking an Opeth t-shirt. It’s not that helpful really.

I would say…overproduced chug metal with annoying vocals and a Christian theme. But to each his own!

      • Thrashbuster

        i’d say thats pretty accurate.

I’ll stick to listening to 7angels 7plagues. Or tomorrow I’ll start a band called Plantera…or maybe even Megaded.

But damnit, even though the name is highly unoriginal, they are a decent band. Bands need to research more before settling on a band name.

7a7p stinks… These guys are pretty talented though!

I don’t give half a shit about Nevermore, but Loomis’s solo album is really fucking good.

I love Jeff Loomis. Zero Order Phase is a great album. I would have to guess that these guys are relatives or friends of his. I listened to the first 3 tracks on their myspace. The music is solid (i.e. boring) but I really hated the vocals. Then I saw that the singers gauges were bigger than his little pinhead and it all made sense.
