Few bands have pushed the envelope or influenced the scene this past decade as much as DEP, and Option Paralysis continues that proud tradition; it’s both a logical extension of and necessary evolution from Ire Works. Or, put more simply: it rules.
MetalSucks is proud to present the online debut of “Chinese Whispers,” one our most favoritest tracks from Option Paralysis. It’s melodic, aggressive, catchy, and off-the-wall fucknuts in a way that only Dillinger can be. (Tip: listen with a good pair of headphones.) We hope you dig it as much as we do.
Option Paralysis comes out March 23 on the band’s own Party Smasher Inc. in conjunction with Season of Mist.

????? !!!! ??? You must be jocking? Those 2 songs are not alike at all. It’s not because the tempo are the same and the voice are clear that make them the same.
This new dillinger escape plan song can ba compared to Milk Lizard, Black Bubblegum or Unretrofied. And any way, this song is much more jazzy tant mastodon’s, which sound more like heavy metal.
But you’re right, a metal band is always quite similar to an another metal band. I would have been much more worried if you had said that it reminded you any Michael Buble’s stuff…

That’s what I thought when I heard the beginning of the song too. Once it gets into it, not so much. But that’s a good thing.
I’m pumped for this album and I’m gonna see them in Columbus 4 days after this album comes out. Can’t wait.
Oh, and DEP is playing with Darkest Hour, iwrestledabearonce, & Animals as Leaders. Should be a great show.

Great song, but it seems to me like the lyrics have taken a step or two back, especially during the melodic parts in the two songs they’ve debuted. Really predictable rhymes.

The first time I saw & heard TDEP was when they opened for Mr. Bungle in 1999 (yep, I’m old), and
when you manage to confound fans of Mr. Bungle like they did you’re definitely doing something right.
Too bad MB isn’t around anymore, and tour-only-reunions (even for the almighty FNM) suck.
