Welcome to the very first installment of Cooking Contaminated, the brand new heavy metal cooking show brought to you by MetalSucks and your host, Eli Shaika! This episode’s guests are vocalist Mike Hrubovcak of Monstrosity and his brother, bassist JJ Hrubovcak of Hate Eternal. No recipe could be more fitting for a couple of Poles than classic home-made pierogis, coupled with Eli’s own special bacon, chive and sour cream topping. Watch the video below; you’ll find a list of ingredients after the jump so you know what to buy at the supermarket.

SOUR CREAM AND BACON DIP
1 cup sour cream
1/2 package of bacon

1 tbsp chives (chopped)
1 tsp Tabasco sauce

PIEROGI FILLING

1/2 tsp black pepper

You should do an episode on how to make burgers like they do at Kuma’s Corner. Those things are the fucking bomb.

    • MartyJannetty

HANDS DOWN, one of the best Burgers in CHICAGO!!!!!!!!

    • http://www.kumascorner.com Luke

…pretty sure we’d be into it.

  • Double D

Hmmm… a little boring. Sorry. Not meaning to be a dick, just giving my opinion. Also, I hate when people yell at the camera (as the dude did in the beginning). You already have my attention! No need to yell!

It’s about cooking dumbass, not entertainment. I, being a chef and a metal fan, thoroughly enjoyed this.

  • Seer

what the hell did I just watch?

  • shep

Well I didn’t make it through the video (was making me cringe) but I do want to try making the recipe.

  • thelump

The only cooking show that includes the line : ” no, but you can suck my dick, though”

  • Geetarz

I would love to do an episode of this. I love to cook.

  • alliaphagist

    1 cups flower

  • Jett

Metal inspires me to cook xD

  • Meathead

Perogies rule. Mesuggah perogy, onion and sausage murder burger anyone?

  • SP420

Ok you guys need to slow down with all these new columns and shit that you come up when you’re high, seriously. Ruining the integrity (of what there is) of the site.

    • hudesca

      whoops too late

  • tiagón

    1. more light! (alternatively you can use less light, and a corpse paint)
    2. keep the soundtrack playing, even at very low volume

with these suggestions, I say: hell of a good job, keep it up!

  • khristian

    nnnnoice, now im hungry

  • this

    better than Martha Stewart.

  • yetzer hara

don’t forget the four lines of blow before you start taping.

  • kvlt of personality

I’m in a band, and we’ve recently started doing band cookouts after our practices, and it’s really fun, and awesome because we’re always really hungry. This new column is a good idea. Meat is metal!

  • brookh

no matter what anyone else says, that was great and you should do more episodes

I don’t cook (I hate cooking), but that was cool. Making food with friends is always cool, and that meal looked awesome! I’d love to see what other stuff is done.

  • Rachel

This made my day to watch :) Men never seem to have a clue how to cook, so I was pleasently surprised. Eli seemed very comfortable with the camera, and how to cook, too. Food Network?

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dave-Colbert/535041444 Dave Colbert

Men don’t know how to cook? I’m a chef and I would definitely say the reality is quite the opposite. I never let women near my kitchen, haha…

  • inokii

Hi Eli, Congrats on the 1st episode! bring on more cool guests! can’t wait for it.

    Best Wishes

  • WowWee!

This reminds me about that Hellbent for Cooking contest and how I never recieved the prize but besides that this is good stuff here.

    • JW_Gacy

hey, I never got my cookbook either, did we have to be present to win or something? I spent a solid 10 minutes on my masterpiece too…

  • Shinaain

Unsanitary food handling practices and shit-chopping techniques (it works) aside…

Today, alone, some of my favorite things: Metal, cooking, and existentialism. (Okay, so Paul posted his latest yesterday. Fuck off.) And people want to know how come this is still my favorite site…

I don’t normally allow anyone to toe my territory; however, take my kitchen over like this and see how fast these panties drop. Seriously: try me.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dave-Colbert/535041444 Dave Colbert

I’m a metal fanatic and an amazing chef if I do say so myself. Where do you live ;)

  • Shinaain

@Byron: I love food and I love to cook for the sake of cooking, since it’s a form of artistic expression for me. But the social aspect of cooking is usually best – when you’re cooking as an exercise in showing others your appreciation of them, by welcoming and nourishing them. When you start to think of cooking as a way to show others how much they mean to you (e.g., taking your time and using the best ingredients you can afford in order to make others something you think they will enjoy because they’re worth that investment in time and effort to you), cooking becomes a ritual in and of itself. My favorite nights are usually dinner-and-a-movie nights at my place: I control the guest list, and the cooking is a social event whereby people contribute effort, conversation, or music (at my old place, I kept acoustic instruments for people to jam when the mood took them) for the mutual enjoyment of everyone.

Sounds like you need to branch out, brother. You’re almost there, but for an attitude check. \m/

      agreed :)

Haha, nice? Definitely entertaining, awkward, but entertaining.

  • mat (from Poland)

I don’t know what kind pierogis are those , but they are definitely not
“pierogi ruskie” the real ones are from cottage cheese (or farm cheese i don’t know how you call it) with boiled potatoes. No cheddar cheese or melted butter in filling. You serve it with some cracklings and maybe some onion on the top. It’s very simple dish that’s why it’s so genius

  • N

    Need more Gordon Ramsy!

  • Justin Sane

wow, that was painful! i’m down with cooking shows, i love to cook myself, but man… this was rough, and the rogies looked like shit. that dough was drier than my shit after a weekend of drinking nothing but whiskey.

get a dude that knows how to cook somewhat, and like that other guy said, keep some music running in the background. don’t use that loop from the start either, it was cut badly, just use some songs from whatever guys are guesting this time.

  • http://sebastian.linnet@gmail.com NIgguh

What’s the song in the beginning of the vid?

  • http://sebastian.linnet@gmail.com NIgguh

“We Never Come In Peace” by Misery Index.

  • http://heavystreet.com Sat

I’ll have mosh potatoes on the side please….

  • boseefuss

This has potential to be quite funny… just let the bands cook and interview them while they work. Make it shorter. Loved the bacon scene.

  • MartyJannetty

SCREW THE HATERS!! I love cooking/grilling, don’t stop making these episodes. Cooking is a skill everyone should acquire.

  • djwackfriz

I like the effort guy, but you GOTTA work on your knife skills. Watching that scallion fabrication made me wince, you’re gonna take a finger off, not mention hack it apart instead of slicing it!

Hone your knife. Rock it back and forth. Come on! This has potential.

  • Corpse Pus

You really should have invited Annick to do the first show. I mean, come on, it’s the Morbid Chef!

  • Alex_P

I couldn’t get over the fact that Mike was coughing into his hand. Years of menial labour…

  • shitstorm

it would be great to get the guys from Cattle Decapitation to show us (me) some crazy vegan recipes.
