We’ve been raving about Nachtmystium’s Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II for awhile now, and today, we’re incredibly proud to present an mp3 of the title track for free download. Dirty, psychedelic, epic, visceral, and catchy as hell, it’s just a small taste of this insanely creative, wholly provocative masterpiece. We hope you love it as much as we do.

    Good stuff! Sounds like its evolving from pt. 1. I just started litsening to the Doomsday Derelicts and Worldfall Eps’ a couple of days ago. Those Eps’ are pretty sweet as well.

    This is a lot more “songy” than their more chaotic blacker stuff. I think I like it, but I want to hear rest of album.

    whatever all the songs ive heard (i think 3 or 4 of them) sound like they are hanging out with Him and CKY!!!! i’m not impressed i liked pt.1 more, but even that album was shitty in parts….. the guys vocals are generic and the lyrics are cheesey… whatever happened to hiding things rather then making them so blatant

      The vocals aren’t so much generic as bad.

      I saw this band when they opened for Marduk. I like me some blackened psychadelica, but this is just boring.

    Something just feels off on the songs they’ve released so far. I’m not sure if it’s the restraint of Wrest or the simpler song structures, but these songs don’t really hit me like Assassins did.

      I agree with you. I think it’s the simplicity mostly. The song structure is pretty much straight ahead rock n’ roll, except its really fuzzy and its got extreme vocals. I’m not too fond of the level of production on the vocals either. I’ll still listen to the whole thing when it comes out, but i’m definitely less excited than I was four songs ago.

    I definitely digging that fuzzy guitar tone. This song’s pretty promising, I’ll be curious to hear the rest of the album.

    it’s different but still cool. This dude does little wrong to my ears. Im cool with their blackest stuff to the modern psych stuff they’re putting out now. Maybe I’m easily entertained, that is a distinct possiblitly, but the drum production is live as hell and not beat replaced and tricked out. Count me in.

      Every single fucking time someone raises the whole “write something better”, I laugh. Yeah, man. You need to write music to appreciate music, and the only way to ever criticize anything is to write something better.

      And you need to play bass to criticize a bass tone.

      I don’t have anything against the band members. I just don’t like the music.

    OK SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOOD ABOUT THIS? PLEASE ANYONE? I almost gouged my eyes out trying to get through the whole song. This band is terrible and I have still yet to hear anything worth while from them. On a side note…the cover art is cool.

    Blake here…HAD to chime in on a forum for the first time in years. Just so you good metal folks know, we have INTENTIONALLY released the two strangest songs on the record…just to fuck with all of you a little bit, because we get a kick out of seeing you all throw a fit about our new directlon. Fear not, you will not be receiving a ‘dance’ album or a ‘rock record’. There’s a bunch of shit happening on this record and no two songs sound alike. Thanks for listening to the stuff we’ve posted thus far! Cheers and see some of you on the Eyehategod tour in a few weeks hopefully.

      Can’t wait to see them with eyehategod in a couple weeks! I love black metal but its so cool when musicians can allow themselves to be truly creative and not just blast away. Love the new songs! After I heard the Death In June cover on the world downfall 12″ I was hoping that would be the direction they took. I see more influences in the music now but its completely original at the same time. can’t wait to listen to the shit outta this album like I have with the last 3 releases.
