Obituary Engage In Cartoon Violence In Cartoon “Violence”

Florida’s Obituary have released an animated video for their track “Violence”, which comes off of last year’s killer Inked In Blood. The video was animated by Balász Gróf, a Hungarian cartoonist known for the madcap video he did for Blind Myself in 2008 (holy shit, look at this MetalSucks post from 2008 with Vince signing it and everything).

It’s funny to see the death metal Class of 1990 becoming these hilarious old dudes. When I caught Deicide the other night on what was still the Metal Alliance Tour at the time, Glen Benton was cracking wise and laughing his ass off. Similarly, it looks Obituary are having fun with not taking themselves too seriously and being beer-drinking horror lovers as much as they do soldiers of gore or whatever ultra-grim phrase you want to use.
