The New Fleshgod Apocalypse Video is NSFW, Baroque as Hell

Overkill is part of Fleshgod Apocalypse’s thing. The band combines two genres, opera and death metal, and that are each known for going over the top and beyond, so of course their merging would be dramatic and huge.

But the band take things to a different level in their new video for “Cold As Perfection.” Sure, it’s the sex, nudity, and suicide that gets the video the official NSFW tag, but the sets and costumes are what come off as truly overwhelming to me! Everyone in the video is dressed as 18th Century nobility, and pretty convincingly so! I wonder how they put together such a decent set-up for this video. Maybe one of the members works in a theater or something, and got unlimited access to their wardrobe?

Anyway, check out the video for “Cold As Perfection” below. The song is cool, though the previous track are a little better. The band’s latest, King, drops Friday on Nuclear Blast. The band heads out on tour with Carach Angren on Monday, so go see them at one of these dates.
