REVOLVER‘S SECOND ANNUAL “HOTTEST CHICKS IN METAL” ISSUE GIVES HEADBANGER’S ANOTHER EXCUSE TO JERK OFF (AS IF THEY NEEDED ONE)

Last year’s “Hottest Chicks in Metal” issue of Revolver must’ve really upped (amongst other things) sales, because the magazine will release a second annual edition on May 22. For the second year in a row, Lacuna Coil’s Christina Scabbia, who Vince fully plans to have babies with whether she likes it or not, graces the cover (below), but now she’s joined by Bleeding Through’s Marta, who actually outdoes her wet t-shirt photo from last year in terms of pure smuttiness. And I kinda mean that as a compliment.

I gotta be honest: I love this photo and kinda hate myself for loving this photo. Even though I think Marta’s hotness is pretty much the only good thing about Bleeding Through, the band’s record sales seem to be just fine without her resorting to posing for what amounts to a Maxim layout. I’m even more confused about Scabbia; her band is clearly doing very well and she’s legitimately talented, yet she finds herself not only posing for this magazine, but headlining a “Hottest Chicks in Metal” tour, fer Chrissakes. Surely, this can’t be necessary.
