Retrospective

THAT LAST #12 ALBUM WAS REALLY GOOD. WHO AGREES?

(hey this was recorded at Backroom Studios too!)

I remember when the album Worse Than Alone came out and I thought it was the most ridiculous album I’d heard in a long time. The vocal styles and genre hopping are all over the place and they still hold such a #12 style. I remember when I read they were breaking up and I couldn’t help but think they were just about start being something really really amazing. I’d always been a fan and understand that the visceral noise and obnoxious tendencies can be a bit much for the average music listener but damn did this band help me make it through my high school years.

Worse Than Alone was the culmination of them as a real band. They finally had gotten their swing. They were writing on a level that was far beyond anything previous in their catalog and this was the stepping stone to a career of greatness. And then it just ended, with little explanation. There was some talk for a time that they’d release a second live DVD of their last show (a show in which I was certainly in attendance) but nothing has been said about it since.

If you’re into strange metal, or stuff that steps outside the box please check this album out.
