Meek is Murder and Tiger Flowers Cover Botch’s “Japam”

Covering Botch’s “Japam” has been a regular feature of Meek is Murder’s set pretty much for as long as I can remember; they usually, if not always, invite a guest vocalist to the stage to help out, and more than once, that guest vocalist has been Jesse James Madre from the equally-awesome Tiger Flowers. The results are always raucous, and I mean that as praise.

So, great news! MiM have now released a recorded version of the song, with Madre on vocals. It is unsurprisingly awesome, and I strongly encourage you to steam it below. It was recorded as a contribution for the upcoming All About Friends Forever: Volume Three compilation EP, which will be available on limited edition vinyl sometime in the next few weeks. Pre-order it here!

On a semi-related note, Meek is Murder make hoodies now! And just three short years after I begged them to do so. Order yours here! It comes with a free download of the band’s most recent EP, Into The Sun Where It Falls Off The Sky!

The band plays on February 25 at St. Vitus in Brooklyn, and on April 13 at the Studio at Webster Hall. If you haven’t seen these guys live yet, you have no idea what you’re missing, and you have, you’re probably already as anxious to see them again as I am.
