Palms Take You to “Patagonia”

Palms, the new band which teams Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno with former Isis members Jeff Caxide (bass), Aaron Harris (drums), and Bryant Clifford Meyer (guitars and keyboards), have released their first single, “Patagonia.” And as the the above cover art for the band’s self-titled debut would suggest, the reaction the tune is most likely to elicit is as follows:

This is music for making love, not fucking. It’s also really, really good, and really chill way to kick off your hump day. If the whole album sounds like — and I’m guessing it will — Palms could end up being the de-stress music of the summer.
