Finally, an Anciients Music Video!

We aren’t usually that fond of live videos here at MetalSucks, but that’s only because we think it’s lame when unrelated clips from random shows are comped into one video underneath the studio recording. In Anciients’ case they’ve used the live audio from the Heart Of Oak release party earlier this month in Vancouver — and they got multiple camera angles courtesy Not Your Scene magazine — which is a totally rad way to release a video in our book. The audio sounds great and the video does the trick too despite less than ideal conditions (tiny club with no stage and poor lighting), and together they give a great impressions of what this excellent band is all about. The track is called “Overthrone;” watch the video above.

Heart of Oak is out now (order here). The band is currently on tour with Lamb of God.
