Watch the Trailer for Fameless, The New Comedic Reality Series Starring Mastodon’s Brent Hinds

Mastodon’s Brent Hinds — the man I once watched drunkenly do a bare-shirted belly flop onto a bar table covered in potentially-dangerous objects (like, y’know, very breakable glasses) — has apparently been given his own comedic “reality” series (for the web, not television… I’m assuming). Really, the only questions worth asking about this development are “What took so long?” and “When can I see it?”

Alas, the press release doesn’t actually contain an answer to the latter question:

“ATLANTA — Mastodon frontman Brent Hinds stars in an original new comedy series titled Fameless. This documentary/reality based comedy follows Brent Hinds and his friend Max Cooper as they search for the ultimate cure for boredom. Each episode will feature a celebrity guest who gets mixed up in unruly hijinks.

Newmerica, the Atlanta based video agency that conceived the series, is currently seeking executive producers to complete the first season.”

It’s a little odd/discouraging that this thing went into production without the necessary personnel to see it through to completion. That being said, this trailer is incredibly entertaining (I’m especially fond of Hinds’ impersonation and critique of Eddie Vedder) and I do really, really hope we get to see the actual series soon:
