Beastmilk, Yum

Beastmilk LogoThere’s a lot of hype around the band Beastmilk right now, I think because the last time a punkish band from Europe made an album with producer Kurt Ballou, the world got Kvelertak.

Not that Beastmilk sound like Kvelertak. They have a sound which is likely to be far more palatable to the non-metal set, in no small part because although the name of vocalist Kvohst (Code, Dodheimsgard, Hexvessel) makes him sound like he should be in Mayhem, his voice actually sounds like a cross between Morrisey and Gavin Hayes from Dredg.

Noisey has debuted Beastmilk’s new video for their song “Death Reflects Us.” I honestly don’t know if I’m on the Beastmilk train yet, but I have now watched this a couple of times, and it’s definitely growing on me. See what you think:

“Death Reflects Us” will appear on Beastmilk’s Climax, which comes out November 29 on Magic Bullet in the U.S. and Svart in Europe.
