Pitchfork has provided our first taste of The Atlas Moth’s The Old Believer in the form of the new song “Collider,” which you can stream here. Unsurprisingly, it’s awesome (and not just for thirty seconds). It’s also kinda dense — I recommend listening with a good pair of headphones. I’ve checked it out three times now, and noticed some new elements each time. This is the kind of album we’ll be closely studying for months, if not years, to come.

Something you won’t need headphones to notice: I’m not sure which of the band’s three guitarists is playing those leads, but they sound laser guns. Which is just, y’know. Fuckin’ RAD.

Stream “Collider” hereThe Old Believer comes out June 10 on Profound Lore.
