The 25 Best Metal Bands of All Time Readers’ Poll

MetalSucks recently polled more than a hundred of metal’s most revered musicians, critics, journalists, artists, publicists, and industry insiders to find out which 25 bands represent the very BEST in the history of metal. These heavy metal heavy hitters have had their say — so now it’s your turn! Think the winners of the poll were too old? Were there not enough bands from a multitude of genres? Confused how the (highway to) hell AC/DC even made the list? Here’s your chance to right those wrongs!

Here are the instructions for participating in the poll:

Step 1) Decide which 25 bands you think should be on the list (or fewer… you’re obviously under no obligation to vote for 25 different bands).

Step 2) Search the comments of this post for your choices (Apple-F on a Mac, Control-F on a PC).

Step 3) If the band has already been listed by another reader, upvote that comment. If they’re not listed yet, add them, double-checking that you’ve spelled the band’s name correctly.

That’s it! The twenty-five bands that get the most votes will be declared the winners of the readers’ poll.  We’ll announce the winners later this week.
