Cancer Bats Find Their “True Zero”

Cancer Bats have released a new song and video for the song “True Zero,” which is the de facto title track from their new album, Searching for Zero. I dunno why these poor dudes can’t find zero. I sent them the contact info for my old math tutor but I guess it didn’t help. Unless… maybe they’re talking about Zero Mostel? He should be easy to find, too, though, ’cause he’s dead, and therefore most likely immobile.

ANYWAY, I really dig this song. It combines the hardcore sound for which Cancer Bats are primarily known with a groovy, kinda Sabbath-y vibe. Also: gotta love Liam Cormier’s gloriously ugly vocals. Like a true punk, his performance priorities clearly did not include “sound perfect.” Such a nice change from the usual bullshit.
