Crappy Week for Norma Jean’s Cory Brandan: Band Robbed, Daughter in Hospital
Talk about a bad week: yesterday the PRP reported that Norma Jean had been robbed, and today when I went to look at frontman Cory Brandan’s Facebook page to track down the email address for donations, I saw this:
Last night my daughter was in a pretty bad wreck and was flown to a hospital 3 hrs away. She’s alive and stable. She has surgery soon. Send prayers her way.
Good lord! I can’t even imagine how unbearably stressful and heart-wrenching it must be to have a child in a serious accident. Happy she’s alive and stable, at least. Sending nothing but well wishes to Cory and his daughter.
Meanwhile, I wasn’t able to find the original post about the robbery on either Brandan’s Facebook or Norma Jean’s, but here’s the copy from The PRP (with an assist on the donation link from Lambgoat):
Very recently, a really sad individual broke into the house of my brother and his family and robbed them. A lot of music equipment was taken including a drum set used during very early Norma Jean days.
Besides the kit being taken we lost all our bass gear, matt‘s other drum set, a lot of other miscellaneous equipment and countless personal items.
Some really cool friends of ours put up a place to donate to at LEAST replace Matt‘s drums. If you have a couple bucks and want to help him out, here’s the place. Thanks! –Cory
