Former Trivium Drummer Nick Augusto Unveils New Band, Trivium, Jr. Corrosion

Nick Augusto may have parted ways with Trivium, but he didn’t leave the band empty-handed — he took their sound with him!

The drummer — also formerly of Maruta — has unveiled his latest creative endeavor, Corrosion. And the band’s lead single, “Machine Says No,” sounds so much like a Trivium wannabe that they may as well have just called themselves Sanctity.

So that’s disappointing. Augusto is a good drummer. I’d like to think he could find a more interesting project than this one.

Corrosion will release a three song EP in late March via Mas-Kina Recordings. Yay.
