Sigh Move Graveword
Break out the fine champagne, it’s time for a celebration: Sigh have announced that they’ll release a new album entitled Graveward later this year. Which you may have seen coming, given that last year, the band released a demo of a new song, “Out of the Grave,” and announced they were working on a new record. But still! Now it’s official!
Also worth noting: Graveward is going to have some special guests who are, to be it frankly, surprising: specifically, Trivium’s Matt Heafy and Dragonforce’s Frederic Leclerq. Also the Swedish Shining’s Niklas Kvarforth, although that’s much less surprising, insofar as it probably won’t see tr00 kvltists into a rabid rage the way Heafy and Leclerq’s involvement will.
Personally, I’m all for Sigh enlisting help from some kinda-off-the-wall peers, if for no other reason than because Sigh’s music has always been totally fucknuts. If the album just had, like, Cronos or Attila Csihar on it, that would not be nearly as interesting, no matter how “appropriate.”
No word on a release date for Graveward yet, but you can listen to “Out of the Grave” here.
