Royal Thunder have been releasing a song from their super-sweet new album, Crooked Doors, every day this week… but today’s track is extra special, because it’s my personal favorite on the album! HUZZAH!

“Forgive Me Karma” is basically Royal Thunder’s version of a power ballad: it’s got rockin’ moments but overall it’s pretty depressing (and I mean that in the best possible way), and its most melancholic, desperate, and beautiful section — the one that kicks in at 3:28, when bassist/vocalist Mlny Parsonz cries out “I don’t wanna leave you all alone” — is followed by a simple-yet-totally-mountain-top-worthy guitar solo from Josh Weaver. So epic.

Head over to Decibel to hear “Forgive Me Karma” (pro tip: the louder you play the song, the better it sounds). Crooked Doors comes out April 7 on Relapse. Royal Thunder hit the road with Wild Throne in May; get tour dates here. And don’t forget to check out our recent podcast interview with bassist/vocalist Mlny Parsonz, ’cause it’s really great, too. She was in a cult!!! Who knew???
