Crushing Crowdfunding

New Supergroup Good Tiger (ex-The Faceless, ex-Tesseract, ex-The Safety Fire) Crowdfunds $18,000 in Less Than 24 Hours

Good TigerA brand new band just raised more than $18,000 via a crowdfunding campaign in less than 24 hours. Say what??

OK, fine, it helps that the band’s lineup consists of some very well known metal personalities: ex-Tesseract vocalist Elliot Coleman, ex-The Safety Fire guitarists Derya Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, ex-The Faceless drummer Alex Rüdinger (because he’s clearly not involved with enough bands right now) and bassist Morgan Sinclair (who previously was the touring guitarist for Architects). Surely the fact that all of those bands are so well-respected made it easy to convince fans of any one of them to contribute $10, $15 or even $25 to the cause.

But still! That is fucking impressive. The goal of their IndieGogo campaign was $16,000, and they smashed through it in less than a day.

So what will the music sound like? We’re not entirely sure, but the below video that accompanies the IndieGogo post gives us some samples… and they sound pretty damn promising if you’re a fan of any of the members prior/other bands. Check that out below, and contribute to the project here if you so desire. The album has already been recorded, and the $16k will go to recoup all the money spent on that process (which the band has been so kind as to detail). We’ll let you know as soon as music is available.
