Here’s A Jam Band Covering Ozzy’s “No More Tears”

I will give some props to Indiana jam band Umphrey’s McGee, though I hate their name something fierce. During a recent show at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI, the band decided to bust out a pretty faithful cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “No More Tears.” You can watch video of the song below.

Metalheads pride our music on being hard to play for those who aren’t metal, and this does prove the case for Umphrey’s McGee vocalist Brendan Bayliss, who has some issues with Ozzy’s high vocals throughout. However, the band’s solid rendition of the song’s emotional breakdown and Bayliss’ various hilarious snippets of dialogue throughout–the “SHARON!” pre-bridge is a nice touch–make this video a fun watch overall.

Enjoy the video below. Try not to end up rocking a hemp tote bag and a seashell necklace by the end of it.
