Ghoul Release New Song For Bizarro Comic Book The Humans

I haven’t gotten a chance to read The Humans yet, but man do I want to. The basic premise is: imagine the world of Planet of the Apes reached the 1970s, and a group of intelligent apes formed a biker gang that terrorized the countryside while punkish humans are hunted and abused for sport. Yeah, it’s that cool.

What’s even better is that the comic book’s creators have been releasing new music as soundtrack to this story, including a fresh track by Creepsylvanian splatterthrashers Ghoul. The combination is a perfect fit–The Humans‘ sci-fi biker atmosphere is nicely complimented by Ghoul’s twisted mix of thrash metal, biker filth, and gnarly surf rock. As a comic book nerd, I’ve wished for a while that more series would do soundtracks–I remember Scud: The Disposable Assassin always had a suggested listening box on the inside front cover–and it’s great to see that The Humans is enlisting kickass bands like this to create new music inspired by weirdo comics.

Anyway, enjoy Ghoul’s “Humans Till Deth” below, and grab an issue of The Humans from your local comic book shop if you can.
